Electric Operations is responsible for every aspect of PG&E's electric distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, asset management, business planning, restoration, and emergency response.--The Wildfire Risk Organization is responsible for assisting the company to act decisively and transparently to prevent fires of consequence from being caused by our equipment.- The organization will develop objectives to:

  • Prevent fires of consequence originating from our equipment
  • Meet all commitments outlined in our 2021 Wildfire Mitigation Plan
  • Continue to foster trusted relationships with key stakeholders
  • Develop consistent processes and work standards through the implementation of the Lean Operating System for sustainable operations going into 2022 and beyond-Position Summary-The Senior Operations Data Analyst extracts operations data for analysis, leadership support and responses to ad hoc data requests. This position maintains operations tools & databases ensuring that it is kept up to date using data from various PG&E systems. The successful candidate will develop, maintain, and enhance operational metric database tools for the broader analytics team(s). The Senior Analyst identifies and solves current gaps in data requirements and ease of access to ensure fast and consistent responses to leadership inquiries.-The position requires a strong ability to work effectively across organizational boundaries and engage with a diverse set of stakeholders. This position often requires thorough analysis on complex data models, and creation of customized reports which depict findings and recommendations in clear concise presentations.---The headquarter location is flexible and can be located within the service territory. The position will work remotely through the end of the year and may transition to a hybrid schedule or require your physical presence in an office location as business needs requires.--QualificationsMinimum:
    Bachelor of Science in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, GIS Technology or Environmental Sciences or job-related discipline or equivalent experience4 Years work-related experience-Desired Qualifications:
    Ability to quickly learn the mechanics of the VM Applications and become VM's subject matter expert on the VM Applications' reports and functionsBasic knowledge of vegetation management concepts, practices, and methodsCreative problem skills to develop solutionsQualitative and quantitative analytical skills to justify any business changesStrong presentation and communication skills to deliver findings and recommendations to various levels of managementKnowledge and understanding of key drivers affecting business resultsStrong project management knowledge and skills to lead project teamsBackground in Arc Collector, ESRI software, GIS and Vegetation Management and Project Management databasesAdvanced skill in Microsoft Excel/Access (complex formulas, graphing, VBA)Strong organizational skills, ability to effectively prioritize work, meet deadlines and work on multiple tasks independentlyGood communications and presentation skills to deliver findings and make recommendations to stakeholders-Job-Responsibilities:
    Manages complex data analysis projects with limited supervision from initial request to presenting data results ensuring that the project is completed within budget and on-time.Designs data analysis to achieve business objectives, process data, analyze data, write clear and concise data findings and tailor communications to specific audiences. Analyzes data using various statistical tools to develop ad hoc reports, statistics, trends, and profiles.Manages complex data extracts and list pulls ensuring data accuracy. Manages extracting data and transferring the data from databases to various analysts to support operational analysis efforts.Creates complex automated data routines and processes for reporting and data delivery ensuring accurate data manipulation and datacleansing.Demonstrates and utilizes advanced knowledge of data processing and data analysis techniques.Develops and communicates clear, concise, and actionable data analyses for clients.Provides recommendations to enhance database(s) with new data sources and improved data processes.-Safety:
