DescriptionThe School of Health Sciences at the University of the
Pacific invites applications for a part-time, non-tenure track
position as a Course Instructor/Clinical supervisor in the
Department of Audiology.Responsibilities include:
- Provide instruction for a total of three to twenty (3-20) hours
per week (depending on your course/contract).
- Supervision of two (2) student clinicians per hour,
occasionally supervising three (3) student clinicians per
hour.
- Provide each student clinician with a minimum of twenty-five
percent (25%) direct supervision or more to meet their needs.
- Complete semester supervision log to document supervision time
for accreditation requirements by the last day of the
semester.
- Provide written feedback towards clinical reports and
observational assignments.Clinical appointments are made upon the
recommendation of the department faculty where appropriate to an
academic program. The clinical appointment is non-tenure track.All
non-tenure-track faculty members collaborate in fulfilling the
University's mission to provide a superior, student-centered
learning experience integrating liberal arts and professional
education.Minimum Qualifications:
- An AuD or Ph.D. degree with relevant background to the course
being taught.
- A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in a
professional environment working with clinical
populations.Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written
modalities.
- Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse
backgrounds and cultures.
- Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity,
and inclusion in a university setting.
- Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices
and knowledge in their work.Physical Requirements:The physical
