that's built for you. What does this role look like? The Terminal
High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) program is one of Lockheed
Martin’s outstanding programs that prioritizes partnership,
integrity, and reliability. The Structures, Propulsion, and
Ordnance Engineering team is an organization within the THAAD
program responsible for the design and engineering support for the
interceptor mechanical hardware. As a Mechanical Engineer you will
support the engineering efforts for the primary and secondary
missile structures and will collaborate across organizations to
help meet safety, schedule, and cost. Scope of responsibility will
include: - Technical support for the Structures System, where you
will partner with experienced engineers to work first order stress
analysis, root cause analysis, engage in vendor
support/relationship building, production delivery, and sustainment
support. - Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of
Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain individuals to foster open
communication between customers and the team. This role will
provide developmental growth and mentorship opportunities to help
you advance in your career. - Use collaboration skills that can
accommodate our various partners across differing geographic
locations. Basic Qualifications - Bachelors or higher degree in
Mechanical Engineering or other related technical/engineering
discipline from an accredited college/university. - Experience
designing mechanical hardware. Knowledge of CAD modeling, drafting
and release, and ASME Y14.5-1994 including GD&T and tolerance
analyses - Familiarity of hardware manufacturing processes
(machining, heat treatment, surface treatment, assembly, etc) -
Knowledge of production support, integration, and/or qualification
of hardware components - Exposure to or participation with failure
investigations, root cause analysis, and/or corrective action
disposition - Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a
government security clearance Desired skills - Missile and/or
aerospace related education or experience - Familiarity with
composite design and/or manufacture experience - Working knowledge
of Matlab, Creo, and/or EPDM - Model Based Engineering knowledge
(using CAD model as record of authority) - Experience with THAAD
processes and products - Risk and opportunity experience with an

Ability to work remotely Onsite Full-time: The work associated with
this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed
Martin facility. Work Schedule Information Lockheed Martin supports
a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional
flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40
hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time
away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off
benefits. Security Clearance Information This position requires a
government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for
consideration. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this
position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most
major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland,
Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is
$70,100 - $123,625. For states not referenced above, the salary
range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work
location. Please note that the salary information is a general
guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not
limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's
work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market
and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits

and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented
full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid

time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up
to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for
holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated
based on start date during the calendar year. This position is
incentive plan eligible. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for
this position in most major metropolitan areas in California,
Massachusetts, and New York is $80,600 - $139,840. For states not
referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect
the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary
