Job DescriptionAdobe Road Winery has an exciting, immediate career opportunity for an extraordinary Marketing Director/ Brand Manager, overseeing all marketing, communications, public relations, business development and social media.Adobe Road is an award-winning boutique producer, crafting small production, ultra-premium wines from Sonoma and Napa counties. We have received over 60, 90+ scores from Wine Spectator and Robert Parkers Wine Advocate. We have a vibrant wine club and are in the middle of building an Epic new winery and entertainment complex in the dynamic downtown Petaluma Riverfront District. Adobe Roads sister company is The Racers Group, one of the top professional sports car racing teams in the country and we cross utilize many sales and marketing opportunities between the two entities. Its exciting! We produce, promote and attend amazing events across the country. Adobe Road produces approximately 7,000 cases annually and is on record growth. We have also launched a new brand calledThe Racing Series, which has seen unprecedented early success and is scheduled to ramp up quickly. Our winery is poised to do something truly epic on both the sales side and with our new winery expansion project. This position is responsible for all marketing programs, brand management, communications, social media, public relations while also actively seeking and capitalizing on business development opportunities. You will be working directly with the CEO. We are looking for someone who can assume a CMO role in time.We also need someone who is highly skilled in the various areas of business development.Our historical record, from the professional racing side, has yielded some amazing partnership opportunities across the United States and we need someone who is skilled on nurturing, activating and leveraging these important opportunities.. This area can be the difference between a good project, and something truly spectacular!!You will be in charge of our digital marketing space, overseeing creative e-commerce campaigns, content marketing, print, event marketing, always representing our brand and our message at the highest professional level. You will be communicating with wine and food publications and representatives, crafting the story of our brand the same way that we craft our excellent, award winning wines. You will be in charge of content and strategy for our facebook, instagram, trade portal, and search engine marketing. This is a true director level position. Innovation, drive, creativity, execution and follow through will all be core competencies of the successful candidate. We have 4, support level people, already in place.You will be able to drive growth by creating demand for the brand across all channels- FOB, DTC, Online. The goal is not to just sell more wine, the goal is to create the pull through that comes with a hot/ cult/ up and coming winery both in the short term and thinking longer term. You will create a marketing plan and execute, while monetizing and monitoring the results and performance and adjusting appropriately. Data driven analysis, forecasting impact and tracking of and reporting on the success of all initiatives will be essential.

  • Collaborate with winemaking team to develop and update tasting notes for all wines.
  • Oversee timely submissions of wines to publications and competitions; regularly update awards and accolades.
  • Manage marketing spend in line with approved budget.
  • Update brand standards and ensure all materials and messaging complies.
  • Lead annual process to develop new advertising campaigns in collaboration with the CEO. Develop new campaigns which elevate and refresh both brands while maintaining consistency with brand standards.
  • Lead annual process to update packaging in collaboration with CEO. Ensure all label designs are approved by agreed-to deadlines to allow sufficient time for COLA approval and label printing before bottling dates.
  • Update sales and hospitality teams on new programs and marketing campaigns.
  • Represent ARW at external tasting events and identify external events that will generate additional revenue and brand exposure.
  • Develop, implement, and execute administrative and technical procedures to provide responsive after-sales service to customers (eg, Yelp comments, thank you for visiting communication).
  • Represent the voice of the consumer for internal decision making and planning.
  • Follow and enforce company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain an environment in which people can contribute their full range of talents to accomplish organizational goals, build respectful relationships, mentor through instruction and lead by example.
  • Communicate clear priorities and responsibilities for all projects to team members and identify performance needs of team members.
  • Provide motivation and build teamwork to create the one team approach to sales and customers.
  • Conduct business in a manner consistent with all legal and regulatory considerations pertaining to all winery activities and inform DSM of any variances.
