Job Description:
Job DescriptionLGC Genomics locations Petaluma and Novato, CA,
as well as our sister site in Denmark, represent a focused,
collaborative culture of producing mission-critical genomics
components, primarily oligonucleotides and supporting reagents, for

worldwide. We are currently seeking candidates who are up for the

organization. Position Summary: The Quality Control (QC) Lab
Support focuses on activities that support laboratory analysis.
They are primarily responsible for maintaining the laboratory by
directly performing analysis support functions. In additional, they
perform analysis and review of incoming goods. This position
reports to the Quality Control Supervisor/Quality Control Manager.
Areas of Responsibility: Performs all assigned job functions per
documented procedures as directed. Provides support to the QC
process and quality control personnel by: Stocking of lab supplies
and buffers Archiving Retain Samples Cleaning Instrument
maintenance (e.g. DNA synthesizers, HPLCs, spectrophotometers, pH
meters and Karl Fisher instrumentation.) Hazardous waste handling.
Help lab maintain 5S standards or cleanliness and organization.
Self-Motivated and ability to communicate and coordinate with
colleagues. Ensure products tested adhere to established
specifications and customer requirements for product release.
Review of incoming goods and bottled lots to meet QC
specifications. Labelling products and incoming goods with an
appropriate status label after product disposition (e.g., Approved,
Rejected, etc.). Assist with the verification and documentation of
QC activities and procedures. Effectively communicate with the QC
Supervisor/Manager on required deadlines of product request for
customer or internal orders Consistently deliver a 90% first-pass
rate with Good Documentation Practices. Consistently deliver on and
meet TAT for 95% of assignments Other duties, as assigned. As
needed and upon mutual agreement, a QC Lab Support may be
temporarily called on to work any shift in the department,
including during day, swing, or weekends. QualificationsRequired
Skills/Abilities: Self-motivated with ability to function as a team
player as well as work independently with moderate supervision.
Able to multi-task in a fast environment and structuring their work
time to efficiently release requested materials for customer or
internal material request. Attention to detail. Strong
communication and problem solving abilities. Required
Education/Experience: High School Diploma, or equivalent. A minimum
of 2 years of work experience in a professional setting.
Demonstrates proficiency to meet the requirements of a QC Lab
Support. Preferred Additional Education/Experience: High School
Diploma, or equivalent. A minimum of 2 years of work experience in
a professional setting. A minimum of 2 years of highly accurate and
successful GDPs in a regulated environment. Demonstrates
proficiency to meet the requirements of a QC Lab Support. Computer
Skills: Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel. Use of a web
browser. Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here
