• Employment Type: Local Contract WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an Emergency Room Nurse for a contract assignment at a prestigious hospital in Waterbury, CT. Job Function:
  • Night Shift.
  • 7pm - 7am.
  • Manage the care of adult and/or pediatric patients experiencing life-threatening conditions, requiring complex assessments and high-intensity therapies and interventions.
  • Provide support, education, and comfort to patients and their families during their emergency room experience.
  • Maintain close communication with all members of the healthcare team and recognize the need for early intervention independently.
  • Prepare patients for surgery or diagnostic testing, ensuring all procedures are followed.
  • Administer IV insertions, intubations, medications, blood draws, and other medical procedures as needed. Job Requirements:
    • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or holder of a BSN.
    • Current and valid RN license for the state of Connecticut.
    • 2 years of Emergency Room RN experience.
    • BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications from the American Heart Association required.
