Job Description:
Job Title: Registered Nurse - Wound Care Profession: Registered
Nurse Specialty: Wound Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per
Shift: 10 hours (07:30 - 18:00) Experience: Minimum of 2 years of
wound care experience required License: Valid State License
required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS preferred Must-Have: Wound
care experience, Weekend availability (1 weekend/month)
Description: The Infusion and Wound Care RN is accountable for the
assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care.
This role includes direct patient care, patient and family
education, and transitions of care in an outpatient department
within an acute patient setting. The nurse delivers holistic and
individualized care to all patients in the assigned area.
Responsibilities include developing, implementing, and coordinating
a plan of care that considers psychological, sociocultural,
spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors. Fostering and
maintaining collaborative relationships between patients, their
family or support group, physicians, and other healthcare providers
through timely and effective communications is essential. Adherence
to hospital policies, industry standards, best practices, and
applicable laws and regulations is required to promote an optimal
patient experience. WCC certification is preferred but not
required. Specific charting experience, such as Epic, is
preferred.
