Summary: /n Utilizes computerized tomography (CT) scanners to
produce cross-section images of patient’s internal organs and
tissues for diagnosis of medical issues. Provides clinical care
efficiently and effectively using a high level of technical and
organizational skills as well as critical thinking ability. /n Job
Requirements: /n/n Education and Work Experience: /n /n -
Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology: Preferred /n - Three
years' CT technologist experience: Preferred /n /n/n/n
Licenses/Certifications: /n /n - Registered by the American
Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T.
(R)(ARRT): Required /n - Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of
practice: Required in CA /n - Advanced certification in the
modality of CT: Required in OR and HI, Preferred in CA /n - Basic
Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required /n -
Fluoroscopy license: Preferred in CA and OR /n - Venipuncture
certification: Preferred in CA and OR /n - Basic Life Support (BLS
OR HS-BLS OR RQI BLS) certification: Required /n - ARRT-Radiography
(ARRT-R) or ARRT-Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT): Required /n /n/n/n
Facility Specific License/Certifications: /n /n - Venipuncture (IV)
certification: Required /n /n/n/n Essential Functions: /n /n -
Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for patients ranging
in age from adolescence through geriatric. /n - Produces sagittal
and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation. /n -
Uses PACS and teleradiology system to correctly transfer images to
the appropriate location. /n - Ensures department, equipment and
staffing meet requirements set forth by any accreditation
maintained by facility (JCAHO, ACR, State Licensures, etc.). Leads
and is responsible for the process of accreditation with these
governing bodies for the specific modality. /n - Plans the daily
patient workload to accommodate patients. Provides adequate
staffing to accommodate patient workload, while covering vacations
and sick days. /n - Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
