Job Description:

Encompass Health Corporation, a leader in both facility-based and home-based patient care, seeks a certified Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic team. This role involves assisting physical therapists in providing treatments and procedures that help improve patient mobility, reduce pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities in our patients recovering from injuries or disease. Working in an environment dedicated to advanced rehabilitation techniques, the successful candidate will contribute to treatment plans and therapy sessions designed by physical therapists, both in inpatient settings and within community-based outreach programs. Assist physical therapists in providing direct patient care to individuals with physical disabilities and/or functional limitations. Help in the execution of patient therapeutic plans, including exercises and use of devices and equipment. Document patient responses to therapy and treatment progress, reporting outcomes to the supervising therapist. Educate patients and family members about therapeutic regimes and safety-related aspects. Maintain equipment and ensure treatment areas are clean and organized. Skilled in physical therapy techniques and exercises Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to follow detailed instructions Knowledge of patient management software Capacity to handle physically demanding tasks Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Valid Physical Therapist Assistant state license CPR certified
