Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Sterile Processing Technician - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Duration: 11 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, nights - Employment Type: Local Contract Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring compliance with the highest standards of safety, quality, and infection control. This position plays a critical role in supporting surgical and clinical operations by delivering properly sterilized instruments and maintaining regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities - Perform decontamination, cleaning, assembly, packaging, and sterilization of surgical instruments - Follow ANSI/AAMI standards, manufacturer Instructions for Use (IFUs), SOPs, and company work instructions - Disassemble and reassemble complex surgical instruments as required - Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and defects prior to packaging - Operate washer disinfectors, autoclaves, and sterilization equipment safely and effectively - Document missing or damaged instruments according to SOPs - Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles, instrument tracking, and inventory - Monitor and maintain instrument and supply inventory levels - Perform daily documentation and computer-based tracking tasks - Maintain a clean and organized decontamination and work area - Adhere strictly to infection control, safety, and quality standards - Communicate effectively with team members and operations staff - Participate in ongoing training and quality improvement initiatives Required Qualifications - Minimum 1 year of hands-on sterile processing experience - High School Diploma or equivalent - Active Sterile Processing Certification (CRCST, CIS, or equivalent) - Knowledge of steam sterilization and infection control practices - Familiarity with ANSI/AAMI standards and manufacturer IFUs - Experience operating washer disinfectors and autoclaves - Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity - Basic computer proficiency and documentation skills - Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment - Strong communication and teamwork skills - Willingness to comply with required health screenings and vaccinations Ideal Candidate - Quality-focused and process-driven - Organized with strong documentation skills - Proactive and committed to continuous improvement - Professional, reliable, and team-oriented Why Apply? - Opportunity to work in a high-standard clinical environment - Critical role supporting patient safety and surgical excellence - Collaborative and professional team setting - Competitive compensation About LanceSoft Established in 2000, LanceSoft is a Certified MBE and Woman-Owned organization.
