If you have a high sense of urgency, are proactive, customer-focus, and professional and do what you say you're going to do, we'd like to talk with you!PURPOSEThe Human Resource Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization's human resource department.ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES1. Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.2. Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies,benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff ormanagement.3. Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.4. Assists with the administration of employee benefits, which may include collecting and submittingemployee information and notice of change in status to health, dental, life, disability, and otherinsurance carriers or insurance brokers.5. Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collectedand filed appropriately.6. Provides clerical support to the HR department, including entering change in status forms, andextended leaves of absence information.7. Acts as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which mayinclude health, disability, and retirement plan providers.8. Conducts or assists with new hire orientation.9. Assists with the workers' compensation claims management, issuing and obtaining claim paperwork,collecting statements, and return to work programs.10. Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, new hire orientation,and engagement events.11. Performs other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS--- High School Diploma and 1 year of relevant experience required.--- aPHR certificate or equivalent strongly preferred.--- A.A. in business, management, or related field strongly preferred.PREFERRED SKILLS--- Bilingual (English-Spanish) strongly preferred.--- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.--- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact,professionalism, and diplomacy.--- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.--- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.--- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system(HRIS), and similar computer applications.COMPANY PERKS!Training and on-going support and mentorship.Educational assistanceGet paid weekly!401k with matchMedical, Dental & VisionPTO, Vacation and Sick Time
