Job DescriptionFull Time Accounts Payable PositionTHE OPPORTUNITY: The Hansel Auto Group is seeking a responsible, hard-working, energetic individual for a high-volume Accounts Payable desk. The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, organized with strong attention to detail and has a professional demeanor. • Organizes and processes incoming vendor invoices from mail and department managers
• Processes accounts payable payments timely
• Posts all open items in accounts payable on a daily basis.
• Prints all accounts payable reports and maintains all accounts payable files.
• Reconciles statement and the ledger making sure that payments are consistent with dealership schedules.
• Analyzes vendor accounts
• Answers vendor inquiries.
• Assists in monthly closings and deadlines.
• Prepares analysis of accounts, as required.
• Establishes and maintains effective and cooperative working relationships in the course of performing assigned responsibilities
• Follows dealership policies and procedures.
• Maintains a professional appearance.
• Keeps work area safe and clean.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
• Performs backup duties to Accounts Receivable deskQUALIFICATIONSMinimum Qualifications:
  • Understanding of basic accounting and general math skills
    • Perform detailed office support work accurately.
    • Use computers in a PC, Windows-based operating environment.
    • Use initiative and sound independent judgment within established guidelines.
    • Prioritize work and coordinate several activities.
    • Organize and maintain accurate files and records.
      • Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions and percentages
      • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, handle repetitive tasks and adhere to deadlines
      • Proficient in MS Office including Outlook and Excel
      • Valid California Driver's License
      • Pass a drug testDesirable Qualifications/Experience:
        • A/P experience preferred
        • Dealership experience is a plus but not required
