Job Description Summary The Assembler position involves the safe and correct use of all AWC (adjustable workstation) equipment and the assembly of a variety of Workrite products. The Assembler reports to the Production Supervisor. The duties and responsibilities of an Assembler will consist of, but are not limited to, the following: Assembly and packaging tasks as needed for final assembly Perform individual assembly steps per work order requirements using the one-piece flow production process Production clean-up on an ongoing basis Inspecting parts and machinery for errors Other duties as assigned Competencies: Safety Conscious Customer Focus Attention to detail and accuracy Quality Focus Results Oriented Highly organized Strong work ethic Team player Professional & pleasant demeanor Requirements: Work Experience : Entry Level Education: N/A Computer Skills: N/A Organization Skills: Ability to efficiently work in a high paced environment Cross-functional skills: Ability to work with other team members on the production floor Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate with crew Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job; reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disability to perform the essential functions; while performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; the employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to grip or handle; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; the employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; the employee must occasionally lift, push/pull and/or move up to 15 pounds; specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus Physical Environment: Manufacturing environment; while performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate Preferred Requirements: Education: High school diploma or GED preferred Certifications: N/A Computer Skills: N/A Workrite is a dedicated equal opportunity employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
