Job Description The Lead Shipping Coordinator is responsible for
assisting the (Senior) Shipping Supervisor in ensuring that the
processes performed are in current compliance with established
company procedures as well as industry regulations, assisting in
the prioritization and delegation of day-to-day responsibilities
and Shipping Department goals to direct reports assigned to the
role, and working to help develop and execute protocols this role
would examine and amend as necessary. The Lead Shipping Coordinator
will be expected to ensure outbound orders of varying natures are
executed properly in both Petaluma and Novato facilities, either
hands-on or in a team-lead environment. Areas of Responsibility: To
address this job successfully, an individual must be able to
perform each essential function satisfactorily. While guidance
would come from Shippjamesing management, the Lead Shipping
Coordinator would primarily work independently, focusing on tasks
involving Biosearch's outbound shipments. Essential Functions: The
daily tasks of the Lead Shipping Coordinator include, but are not
limited to: Communications, both verbal and electronic, with
accompanying departments within LGC Biosearch, as well as with
customers when necessary, in executing shipments and addressing
order complications while in transit. Aid Shipping management or
drive staffing, to include but not limited to, sourcing,
interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, and if necessary,
disciplinary action. Sourcing and prioritizing the daily workload
for the GMP, Custom Oligo, Therapeutic, and Off-The-Shelf shipping
routes; delegation thereof to reporting staff members per facility.
Ensuring all direct reports are fully trained to LGC's standards,
and cross-trained to the various shipping routes within Biosearch's
facilities in Petaluma and Novato. Continue learning the details of
all shipping routes within LGC Biosearch with the intent of
handling the workloads as necessary, (e.g. vacation coverage for
Off The Shelf or GMP, delegating assignments), which may include
travel between the Petaluma and Novato facilities. Supporting the
execution of necessary business process changes driven by
management with staying abreast of new implementations, including
software, equipment, and workspace improvements. Supporting task
assignments to include, but not limited to, restocking and
organizing the supplies and customer products needed to run the
departments. Overseeing and ensuring accuracy of preparation of
orders for shipment, including shipment documentation and packaging
of orders, with strong attention to details. If necessary, the Lead
Shipping Coordinator may be called upon working extra hours to
complete shipments, as well as dropping off completed shipments to
the FedEx office. In the absence of the (Senior) Shipping
Supervisor, the Lead Shipping Coordinator will fill the role on a
temporary basis, until either the return of the Supervisor or
delegated otherwise. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: To
perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to
perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed

required. Education/Experience: 3 years of Shipping experience High
School Diploma or equivalent 1 year of process management Computer
Skills: Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel. Use of a web
browser. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply,
and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common
fractions, and decimals. Computer Skills: Working Knowledge of
Microsoft Office suite of tools. FMP and/or IFS a plus Physical
