Job Description:

As a Customer Service Representative/Custom Oligonucleotide Coordinator for LGC Genomics your role is to guide customers within your territory through the sales and ordering process for all products and services. This centers around answering inquiries, preparing quotations, processing orders and providing order updates using systems such as Salesforce.com and IFS/Hybris/Filemaker Pro.You will have a close working relationship with the Sales Representatives in their territory, with local Manufacturing and Logistics and with contacts at the key customer accounts directly.You should have excellent clerical and keyboard skills and a keen sense of customer service. The CS Representative works in a lively customer service environment, with the ability to cope with the pressure of deadlines and with extremely high aptitude for attention to detail.This role will primarily be based in Petaluma, CA but there may be occasional need for travel to and work from the Novato, CA site, or other LGC sites as required by the business. Primary accountabilitiesfor this role include: Produce Quotations through IFS/Hybris for Products and ServicesInput Orders onto IFS/Hybris/FMP for Products and ServicesGuide customers through the order process e.g. submitting sequence filesUpdate the customer with lead times, late orders etc.Support customers with online ordering via the websiteSupport your colleagues in the CS team in busy periods or absencesAnswer customer inquiries or direct to the appropriate colleague as required through case management system Service Cloud (Salesforce.com)Assist Sales Team and any other stakeholders with transition to newly implemented processes and proceduresAssist Customer Service Manager with any administrative duties and projectsProvide exceptionalcustomer service experience for all you engage with Qualifications: Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)Experience within a scientific or technical environment is a plusAbility to understand and explain the products manufactured within Petaluma and Novatoat a basic levelBe enthusiastic and dependableFocused and goal orientatedHave excellent attention to detailBe able to achieve a high level of customer satisfactionHave good organizational skillsBe able to multi task and prioritize workloadHave good knowledge of sales proceduresBe able to work well within a team environmentResilient and calm within a busy and changeable environmentAbility to build relationships with customers and members of other teams within LGCProficient with Word, Excel and PowerPointAbility to project a professional and high quality image of LGC Genomics Preferred Knowledge, Experience and Technical Skills BSis desirable but not requiredAdditional languages or international business experience a plusStrong sales and customer service background preferredExperience within an e-commerce environment is idealExperience with systems such as IFS, Hybris and Service Cloud CRM system
